Great to Meet You!!
I'm a mother, a wife, animal lover and nature lover that has a full time job with a brutal daily commute on horrible highways in the winter. Yet I find a way to invest time in MY health so I can live my life to the fullest. I'm out of my comfort zone and loving it. I'm a Personal Trainer Specialist with canfitpro. I am also Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Cize Live, Core de Force, Country Heat, PiYo Live, P90X Live, SMRT-Core, ViPR, LeBOOT, LeHIIT, LeBARRE and Sgt. Ken's Equalizer Challenger certified. Of course many more certifications to follow as I thrive to soak up all the information I can! Look for Insanity Live in the future, Surge, BOSU, Trigger Point Therapy, to name a few.
I've never had a weight concern until approximately 10-12 years ago. I had changed from a pretty "up on your feet" kind of job to a desk job. I quit smoking around that time as well. And while feeling better about being able to breath a lot better while being active, my eating habits only got worse. I used pills, restrictive diets, etc. All either wreaked hell on my digestive system or were horrible to follow long-term.
I consider myself fairly active. In the winter, I thoroughly enjoy snowshoeing and x-country skiing. In the summer, I enjoy cycling, gardening, hiking, etc. Since Beachbody came into my life, I incorporate their programs into MY life. Not the other way around.
Food is my problem. I love it. I crave it. I almost always finish my plate. I used to graze all day at work. But thanks to exercising more and using different programs, in addition to drinking Shakeology every single day (whether it's a meal replacement, a treat, bake with it or an after workout recovery drink), I crave veggies. I don't have unhealthy cravings any longer. Took about 2 weeks to "feel" a noticeable difference for the better.
Years ago I was recently given more responsibility!! Talk about stress!! And no time to graze. It was fantastic. I lost 27 lbs. I could feel the muscles from all the activities I do and I loved that! As I got comfortable with my workload, I began to graze again at work and low and behold 10 lbs creeped back...UGH I still hadn't reached my goals of being toned...my clothes were starting to feel tighter and I REFUSE to unpack those "fat" clothes so here I am!
I am committed to meeting my goal of feeling toned, feeling lighter and having the stamina to do a 100 KM road bike ride and not have it kill me. I like to feel good too much to lose what I've accomplished so far.
Realizing I could help others achieve their goals and wanting to further train not only myself but others, I became an Independent Team Beachbody Coach, then a PiYo Live Instructor, then a canfitpro Personal Trainer and more and more certifications and training from there.
